Sheida Amini
Sheida joined Affinity Lawyers as an associate in 2024. She holds a Master of Laws in Canadian Common Law from Osgoode Hall Law School. Sheida is developing a broad practice in corporate and commercial law, advising clients on corporate formation and governance, drafting shareholder agreements, and facilitating mergers and acquisitions. Her corporate practice also includes advising on business structuring, regulatory compliance, contract negotiation, and commercial leasing matters. In addition to her corporate and real estate work, Sheida acts for lenders in the structuring and implementation of Sharia-compliant mortgage transactions, helping financial institutions and private lenders navigate the complexities of interest-free financing models.
Prior to joining Affinity Lawyers, Sheida managed complex commercial real estate and banking transactions, including large-scale purchases, sales, and refinancing involving both real property and equipment. Her real estate experience encompasses the negotiation and completion of acquisitions and dispositions, as well as secured lending transactions. She has acted for institutional lenders, private investors, and corporate clients on a wide range of real estate matters, ensuring the smooth execution of multimillion-dollar transactions.
With a strong foundation in both real estate and corporate/commercial law, Sheida provides strategic, practical advice tailored to the unique needs of businesses, developers, and entrepreneurs. Her multifaceted background enables her to support clients throughout the entire lifecycle of their ventures from startup and growth to expansion and acquisition.
Before embarking on her legal career, Sheida earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy as well as a Bachelor of Laws. In addition to her legal practice, she is a published author of four novels.
